This bargain Bordeaux from the Barons de Rothschild boasts a fresh red fruity nose and nice silky tannins. It's 50% Cabernet, 45% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet franc and the yearly production is quite large at about 12,000 cases per year. This wine is a great bordeaux for the wallet and really tastes like a thirty dollar bottle. It's sells for aroung $14 dollars and is well worth a try. A nice change if your used to average California Cabs and Merlots.

Tried this last week and found the oak way too heavy the first night. Left in decanter and tried again the next night to great success. Great fruit and a nice finish. Not a blockbuster, but for the $6 price tag we found it for we consider a great find.
We found this to be an 8 out of 10 as compared to some California wines that we tried that we would rate a 6 or 7 for a lot more $. very impressed!
