This cheaper style Bordeaux surprisingly carries alot of the classic traits from the prestigous region even though it's not a top dollar wine. Lots of blackcurrant and dark-chocolate on the nose with a slight touch of the musky, "barnyard" we have grown to love from wines from Bordeaux. Ripe dark fruit flavors mixed with silky, leathery, earthy trois. I have to admit I open this wine last night and found it to be pretty skunky and acidic, but I vaccumed it and let it sit till tonight and it actually improved by a 1000% percent. This wine is a good buy for the price and if decanted can be even better. I would score it an 86.
