2002 Trentadue Cabernet Sauvignon

I was very impressed with this Cabernet Sauvignon being that the retail is set at an on-sale price of $14.99. The nose is very elegant and has that musky, toasted coconut, marshmellowy type nose. The tannins are firm but very well integrated and the fruit is ample and very well balanced. It has a nice long finish and leaves you with a very soft dark-fruit mouthfeel. I rate it 90 points and really do enjoy this type of wine. I love finding the gems that are hidden in the shuffle. It was a small production out of sonoma of only 920 cases and is a very focused effort.
