2005 Concha y Toro Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon

This Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon is a true bang for your buck. The best five dollar bottle I've ever bought. It's a light ruby color and expresses the Chilean terroir with it's minerality and sweet earthy tones. Scents of spicy leather with a hint of black pepper, flavors of cherries, raspberries, and cracked pepper, light-bodied with good acidity and a pleasent finish. I will definetly be exploring more Chilean and Argentine wines. I think there's real value in South America for viticulture and wine production.

Sounds delicious, and 5 dollars is tough to beat. I'll definitely look for it. There really are a lot of values to find from South America. I've been exploring Malbecs from Argentina lately, and am amazed that such serious wines are generally so affordable.
