Mollydooker "The Boxer" 2005 Shiraz

If you love big, rich, Aussie fruit-Bombers then this wine might just be for you! Robert Parker scored this wine a shocking 95 points. I tasted it about an hour ago and I did think it was a real stand out as far as how it was made but found it to be a bit over-extracted and a bit to artificial for my liking. Tons of fruit on the nose, lots of heavy jam and a bit of butter popcorn. The flavors were a bit over the top boasting chewy current filled jam, rich licorice and spice, and a touch of chocolate. I would only suggest this wine to someone who loves New World taste. At $19.99 it's alot of wine for your buck so I guess you could say it's a value buy, and if nothing else, pick one up just for the collectable score. Get it fast because it's sold out and allocated.
