2003 Louis Jadot Pommard

This wine is a classic Pinot Noir from Burgundy that demonstrates the greatness and style that is red Burgundy. Classic Pinot nose with hints of soft cherry and earth, rounded out by slight hints of wet leather. The flavors are very subtle and haunting with a nice long finish. Lots of candied strawberry! I love this wine and thus begins my adventure with Burgundy and the fascination with what is probably the most complex of wines in the world. I score the Jadot Pommard 91 points.
