Alma Rosa Chardonnay 2004

This wine is Richard Sanford's new wine. From the original cuttings of the Sanford vineyards, this wine is a great example of wines from the Santa Barbera area. Lemon curd, and fresh citrus dominate the nose of this straw yellow colored Chardonnay. The flavors burst out on the palate with good acid and a very long finish. Lemons, soft french oak, a just a tad bit of nut. Not alot going on as far as complexity but the wine is very crisp and clean and has a nice long finish. I score the wine 88 points.
