2005 Alma Rosa Pinot Noir

Richard Sanford's latest is par for the course and I'm really loving his new juice. Alma Rosa ( The soul of Santa Rita Hills ) is a stunning display of what Santa Barbara County wines should taste like. The nose is like smelling a great Pommard and is just loaded with fresh strawberry, and exuberant perfumes of PINOT SMELL. What I mean by "pinot smell" is that if I was blindfolded I would shout "Pinot!!!" right away and probably could name the region as well. Strawberries continue to bully my palate and a medium length finish that is clean and fresh. Caution: This is a Pinot-drinkers Pinot Noir and Cab folks stay clear. The subtle nuances of this juice are for the Pinot followers. I score this wine 90+ points. Love it!

It sounds delicious. What foods would you match it with? I am a keen cook but lack the skill to match my wines. I have my recipes posted on my website -

Could you suggest this wine with any of my recipes?
