This little super-tuscan is mostly made up of French grape varieties but does have 13% Sangiovese which is just the right touch of Italy to make this wine believable. It has a good deep color from the Cab and Syrah and the nose shows lots of chocolate, ripe raspberry, cherry, and just a hint of toast. This wine should be opened at least an hour or two before serving because it really blossoms after being decanted properly. The flavors are of bing cherry, leather, coco, and a little tug of earth. I think this wine would pair nicely with steaks and heavy Italian dishes and is not entirely to shabby on it's own either. I score it 88 point.
