2004 Freemark Abbey Truchard Vineyard Chardonnay

Nice and golden in color this Carneros Chardonnay from the famous Truchard vineyard has beautiful and enticing aromas of apple-crisp, rich nutmeg and vanilla, candied fruits, and soft, toasted oak. The flavors are very rich and long on the palate and show gracious notes of pineapple, rich Carmel apple, toast, light butter, and vanilla. A very viscous velvety mouth feel leads to a long delicate finish. This is a ton of wine for your dollar! Tastes like most $50-100 dollar Chardonnays. This wine is a mind blower and I score it 94 points.
