2004 Kistler Les Noisetiers Chardonnay

This wine is produced using grapes from several of Kistler's vineyards and is of the same high quality as the single vineyard selections but is uniquely crafted especially for restaurants because of the larger production. Golden in color, this Chardonnay shows seductive aromas of caramel, ripe lemon, minerals, and nut oil. The flavors are stunningly vibrant and powerful and richly grace the palate with nuances of lemon, toasted almonds, buttery caramel, and soft hints of french oak. The texture of the wine is quite riveting because of the vibrant zing it brings while also maintaining the weight that helps the wine finish very long. I score this wine 92 points + and recommend it to big Chardonnay drinkers who like a full-bodied wine.
