2003 Blair Estate Cabernet Franc

I attended a trade show about a week ago and out of maybe a hundred wines I tasted, this one was far and above the best of show for me. Deep plum, raspberry, pepper, coco, vanilla, and sweet-oak aromas were a few of the elements that made up the extremely seductive and complex nose of this wine. On the palate rich chocolate and coco flavors were accompanied by beautiful dark red fruits that all led to an amazingly smooth and sexy finish. This wine is very lush and silky and is the kind of wine that is a joy to drink alone. I was very taken back by the quality of this wine, especially since it is Cabernet Franc. I score this wine 95 points.
