2001 De Loach OFS Pinot Noir

This was one of the exciting wines brought to a recent private tasting I attended last weekend and one I found very interesting indeed. This Russian River Valley Pinot Noir had a nose full of very French-like aromas and the famous Brett and band-aid we've all come to enjoy or hate over the years. I for one enjoy a good dose of barnyard! Other complex aromas of plum, oak, and sasparilla accompanied those earthy notes fore mentioned. The flavors were still very full and powerful and typical of Russian River Pinot, dark cherry, red raspberry, and those hints of sasparilla again crept in the glass. A full bodied effort that maintained good acidity over the past 6 years and might just hold on for a couple more years, although I can't see this wine improving any more. I score the wine 88 points.

I have been reading your blog for a long time and think you might be a good person for this. We are rolling out a tool for wine bloggers where you can highlight the name of a wine in your post and automatically link to that wine on the wine search engines Wine-Searcher or Winezap. Its a great tool to help your readers find the wines you write about. WIne-Search and Winezap will pay you for every click.

If your are interested I would love to have you try it out and tell us what you think.
