2005 Bearboat Russian River Pinot Noir

The 2005 Bearboat Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley is a nice Pinot for the money and a good balanced wine. The aromas show notes of fresh strawberry, ripe red raspberry, and a underlining toastiness. The flavors are fruit forward, showing notes of strawberry, tart raspberry, and hints of black licorice. It finishes tart and dry but overall very pleasing. This wine is at the perfect twenty dollar price point and is a great buy if you want to experience Russian River Pinot for half the price of most wines in the category. 88 points
