Veuve Du Vernay Brut Rose

This French sparkler is a beautiful example of value in sparkling wines not from Champagne but from other regions in France. This wine is dry but very refreshing and crisp and shows stunning aromas of soft strawberry laced with wet stone, minerals, and chalk. The flavors are tart and crisp and remind me of a refreshing strawberry lemonade. The wine carries a good amount of acidity and would pair very well with salmon and soft cheeses. A very nice effort for under ten dollars and it has very nice Champagne looking packaging too! 88 points +
