2006 Three Winds Syrah

Tuesday, June 17, 2008

This little Syrah from the south of France in the Languedoc region is a generous little quaffer that delivers aromas of black currant, lead, rusty metal notes, and a underlining raspberry character. The flavors continue in the dark fruit theme showing notes of blackberry, cassis, and rustic metallic notes. Overall a decent effort and I assume this is a relatively inexpensive wine, which would make it a good buy in the ten dollar range. 85 points
