2006 Masi Masianco Pinot Grigio ~ Verduzzo

The Masi Masianco is a blend of 75% Pinot Grigio and 25% Verduzzo. This is a very pleasant and focused wine that shows good acidity and good overall complexity. The nose shows hints of lime, mineral, sea shell, and star fruit notes. The mineral complexities translate to the palate and with sharp acidity the wine shows flavors of citrus-lime, flint, stone fruit, and rambutan or lychee. There is also a touch of a bread yeast component which adds to the depth and body of the wine. This would just scream with the right seafood pairing! 89+ points
