Photos from my recent trip to Sonoma

This is Mat Gustafson(winemaker at Dutton Estate) and I after tasting through several tasty barrel samples. Dutton Estate makes awesome Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc. Mat also has his own label which you should keep an eye out for called Paul Matthew. Sonoma is all about Burgundian varietals and this was on place that really focuses on producing world class Pinot and Chard.

Ledson is about the most beautiful wine estate that I have ever seen in my life. Granted I have never been to Bordeaux but when we approached this winery my breath was literally taken away by the beauty of this building. The wines were actually very impressive as well. I recall tasting a a very good Cabernet and red blend called "Ti Amo".

This was a really cool picture I took at Chateau St. Jean. This was in one of the very beautiful gardens on the estate which I explored before entering the tasting room. I enjoyed the property almost more than the wines! We skipped the reserve wines which I would have liked to taste but we were in a hurry to get on to our next appointment.

Just a bad ass oak tree that I decided to take a picture of outside Balleto. These are pretty much found all over Sonoma and Napa but I thought this one was really neat. Balleto also makes a decent Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir that are all reasonably priced. They share the tasting room with Dutton-Goldfield(which I think are some of Sonomas best wines).

I have loads of other photos but these were just a few I thought I would share. Click on them to see them in full size. Cheers!
