2006 Conundrum

This famous little proprietary white is made and owned by the Wagner Family (Owners of Caymus) lives up to it's hype and delivers what I thought was high quality wine, even if the $30 price tag seems a bit high for a white blend. It's a harmonious blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Canelli, Chardonnay, and Viognier.

This wine delivers a mouthwatering bouquet of dried apricot, peach, fresh cut grass, green apple, and honeysuckle. The flavors are tart and expressive showing nuances of golden apple, dried and sweetened apricot, honeydew melon, and honeysuckle. A definite crowd pleaser because of the residual sugar and the crisp pleasant finish. It's in a way fun, playful , and serious wine all at the same time. 89-90 points
