This Shiraz from Barossa is super dark, dense, and opaque in color and has a nose chalk full of black fruits such as blackberry and black cherry, secondary notes of pencil lead, crushed stone, and oak also grace the bouquet. On the palate tart black cherry flavors and a barrage of black fruit, black licorice, and grape jelly attack the palate in a fruit forward balanced effort. On the nose I detected a bit of alcohol which didn't shed it's ugly face onto the palate so all in all this was a very impressive little effort.
