This unoaked Chardonnay from Washington State is proud to announce that it isn't rated on the label so I'll save the points for myself out of respect to them. The color of the wine is as expected from unoaked whites, very light and almost clear. The aromas are themed around crisp apple and soft lemon lime and the flavors follow suit with a citrus, golden apple, and lemon meringue. This wine is crisp with good acid but not the most complex Chardonnay ever produced, which is fine because in this case you could use the over used phrase "it is what it is". The texture of the wine is nice and waxy which I found appealing but the alcohol is a little showy on the finish.
