This wine from Western Australia and in particular the Margaret River appellation is a blend of 52% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Semillon, and 8% Chardonnay. The wine was fermented in all stainless steel tank and shows a crisp citrus style that is based around the acidic varietal of Sauvignon Blanc. The texture is quite waxy though, and the Semillon shows it's oily texture which is a unique tactile sensation which I enjoyed. The aromas gleam of crisp citrus fruits and lots of grassy hay notes and a touch of creamy lemon. On the palate the wine tastes of stone fruit, mineral, and grapefruit. A touch of mineral is also detected on the nose and on the palate a touch of pear. Overall not the most complex of interesting selection but it does carry good texture and a decently long finish.
