2008 Bon Bon Shiraz Rosé

I have enjoyed this wine in previous vintages for it's amazingly candied fruit aromas and it's crisp and enjoyable flavor profile. Not to mention the snappy "barbie-like" packaging from the folks at R Winery. The wine was produced from 100% Shiraz from the Hickenbotham Paringa Vineyard in Riverland, Australia.

The aromas of this wine are just amazing and resemble a truck full of watermelon Jolly Ranchers!! The candied watermelon, strawberry, and cherry flavors are brilliantly crisp and bright and make you want to just chug this wine down around the pool on a hot summer day! The aromas really bring the "delicious factor" into play and deliver loads of bright, candied fruit.

On the palate this wine is just as playful and shows plenty of crisp candied strawberry, watermelon, and raspberry flavors. In my notes I wrote down the following adjectives: "Very Fruity, Fun, Crisp, Refreshing, and would be amazing to drink out by the pool while grillin' up some hot dogs!"

Fun Stuff!! - 90 Points

I am not a fan of the wine I have tasted. I like sweet so this sounds like something I would like.

I am surprised, as I've tasted this wine and it seemed OK. Cheers from France!
