On the nose I get much of the classic aromas that we've become accustomed to such as mineral, lime, grapefruit, and really interesting hints of gunflint. The wine also shows a slight vegetable and/or green nuance of green bean and basil.
On the palate is where I think this wine really sets itself apart. There is a full and round texture that seems to coat the palate and leaves a very long and delicious after taste. I get flavors of lime peel, yellow grapefruit, mineral, kiwi, and a touch of tropical passionfruit. There is perhaps even a bit of stone fruit character, like a unripe nectarine flavor.
This is really one of the best New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs I've tasted to date. It's complex both on the nose and the palate, and it finishes with real length and depth of flavor. 92+ points
