I&#39;m not sure why I totally hated this wine..... Maybe I was feeling a little in the groove tasting really clean old-world style wines and this just seemed a bit obscene at the moment. I&#39;m much more of a novice than you, but I enjoyed this wine... thought it had fantastic texture and did not pick up nearly as much oak. Would pair nice with a big juicy burger or steak. Very much an Aussie fruit bomb, but nothing wrong with that. Wife enjoyed it as well and for me, that is a must, as we throw back a glass almost every night. I prefer big bold reds &amp; dry whites and she&#39;s more of a Cotes Du Rhone &amp; blush girl.
